ART ADVENTURES IN SICILY | October 4-10, 2025 [deposit]
Explore the southeastern region of Sicily with Cara Piscitello and blockprinting artist Kristin Loganbill this fall.
Our first trip with Kristin to Florence last year was so much fun - we are excited for another in Sicily!
WHO – Cara Piscitello as your guide, translator and cook and artist Kristin Loganbill teaching blockprinting classes.
WHAT – A week of art exploration, sightseeing, wine tasting and fabulous food
WHERE – A quaint villa in the hills near Ragusa, in the southeastern corner of the island of Sicily. The 19th century home has been lovingly restored and is complete with all modern amenities including a pool. It will serve as the perfect location for blockprinting workshops led by Kristin.
WHEN – October 4 -10, 2025
WHY – To take a deep dive into printmaking while exploring the art, architecture, natural beauty (and of course food and wine!) of Sicily
COST
There are various room types available including some with ensuite bathrooms and some with shared baths. There are also rooms available with two twin beds and others with queen beds. Please see our website for more details. Rooms start at $4300 per person based on double occupancy. As always, this price is all-inclusive (lodging, food, drink, yoga, outings and transportation) from the time you arrive at the villa to the time you depart.
ROOM PRICES
All rooms have king beds and can sleep one or two people and are priced accordingly. There is one suite available with two king size beds (one in is located on a mezzanine/loft of the bedroom) and a shared bathroom. This room can sleep up to 4 people. There are 5 total rooms available.
King Room - 1 king bed with ensuite bath for 1 person - $4450 for the room
King Room - 1 king bed with ensuite bath for 2 people - $7900 for the room
King Suite - 2 king beds (one in loft) with ensuite bath + for 2 people - $8450 for the room
*Airfare, trip insurance, villa transfers and personal incidentals are not included.
We can assist in arranging transport from Catania Airport or other locations in Sicily.
A non-refundable $750 deposit is due at the time of booking. The balance is due by July 1, 2025. Please read our Policy regarding trip cancellation and refunds. We recommend purchasing trip insurance or using a credit card with travel protections.

ITINERARY
The highlight of the trip (besides Kristin’s classes of course) will surely be our visit to Fuga, a botanical printing studio nestled among a plant and succulent nursery outside of Siracusa. During our time there we will wander the gardens to select leaf specimens for a workshop where we will use natural inks and dyes to make prints on fabric and paper.
Additionally, we will visit our friends Fabio and Annarella for a lovely dinner at their farm and visit the historic nearby town of Noto.
Other outings will likely include a winery tour and lunch along with a visit to the beautiful hilltop town of Modica for a unique chocolate demonstration and tasting!
